Student Life’s student photographers are available to help you build a compelling narrative about your program, department, or Registered Student Organization through visual storytelling.

Our student staff members are skilled at capturing and curating both staged and candid moments in locations around campus and beyond. Whether in the classroom or the laboratory, on the water, the field, or the stage, we create stunning images of UW and the people who make up our community.

Photographers are available throughout the year on a volunteer or paid basis depending on the timing and complexity of your need. Priority will be given to units in Student Life or Academic & Student Affairs whose needs are directly related to marketing endeavors such as:

  • Recruiting students, staff and faculty to participate in events or programs
  • Promoting institutional programs and news
  • Advancement

Keep in mind that for large and complex projects (e.g., formal head shots of a large group), you may wish to contact University Photography, whose services are available to any department, center, program, faculty, staff, etc. on and off campus for projects that directly benefit the UW brand. Requests for photography should be made as early as possible and at least seven business days in advance of the event or photo shoot. Once we receive your completed form, we will contact you for confirmation, follow up questions and a request for your completed personal release.
