Registration is Open for the Student Life Half-Day Conference

The Student Life Staff Development Committee is thrilled to invite you to register for our annual Half-Day Conference and presentation of 3 staff/program awards being held on Wednesday, March 22.

This year’s Half-Day Conference will feature sessions covering a variety of topics ranging from maximizing the student employee experience to working with student veterans to optimizing your communication style. You will learn skills and techniques that you can apply immediately to your daily work – and your life outside of the office. The Student Life Staff Development committee is excited to offer a conference that we believe has something for everyone in the division.

Our keynote presenter is Matthew Ferguson, Senior Client Lead for Amazon’s University Programs team. Prior to Seattle, he spent 11 years as a higher education administrator and faculty member at Rutgers University, most recently as the Director for New Student Orientation & Family Programs as well as an Adjunct Faculty Member for the School of Communication & Information.  A self-proclaimed coffee snob, he loves live theatre, storytelling, hiking, movies and breaking Guinness World Records. His keynote will connect the relevance of the work of student affairs/student life staff with helping to foster and develop the next generation of great storytellers.

We hope you can join your colleagues on March 22, 2017, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM in the Alder Commons. Please take a moment to confirm your attendance – in 30 seconds or less!
